Meet Sarafina

This week in class, I had the opportunity to interview my fellow classmate, Sarafina. This is Sarafina's first semester at CCC. She is an Early Childhood Education major and loves children. Sarafina has an interesting background and she is originally from Bermuda. She moved to the United States not too long along and she seems to prefer American Education. Back at her home country, there is not as many educational opportunities. Thus, she is happy she decided to come to America to continue her education, which is obviously something she values greatly.

When asked to describe herself Sarafina immediately answered "Funny, sarcastic, and I like being different."Which is something I immediately connected to because that is how I would describe myself.  Unlike me though, she has a passion for sports, which are Soccer (football to her) and Net Ball. Her favorite artists are Bruno Mars and Chris Rock. While interviewing her, the most interesting thing I learned is her travels to Thailand. Cambodia, Korea, and Laos. Being that I myself have never been out the country, especially not to such exotic places, I was intrigued to learn about her experiences there .

The interviewing ended with Sarafina sharing that it is her dream to one day to teach in Africa, which is truly admirable. It was a pleasure getting to know such an interesting person, and it was an enjoyable experience.
